The trip in a nutshell
This is not a multi-centre holiday. It is a proper overland expedition up the entire east coast, and it goes to places most Australia itineraries have never heard of: Crowdy Bay, Dorrigo, Red Rock, Mungalla Station, the Paluma Range, Mareeba Wetlands.

Before you fly
Airport parking, a night at the terminal, lounge access and travel insurance are all cheaper booked early — and on a 21-day trip, the parking alone is a serious line item.
