The trip in a nutshell

Why this one

Fourteen nights, four destinations, three internal flights and three headline experiences — for less than many people spend on a fortnight in Florida. This is the east coast done properly: Sydney's harbour, Brisbane's easy river city, four nights on the Whitsundays at Airlie Beach and four more in Cairns for the reef.

The included experiences are the ones that matter: a Sydney Harbour lunch cruise, the Camira sailing adventure to Whitehaven Beach with snorkelling, and a Great Barrier Reef cruise from Cairns with a guided snorkel and glass-bottom boat. Everything else is free time, which at this length is exactly right.

“Everything is arranged. Every flight, every transfer, every hotel, every big-ticket experience. All you have to do is turn up at the airport.”

The moments you'll remember

Nine reasons this itinerary sells out

Sydney Harbour discovery lunch cruise

The Opera House and Harbour Bridge from the water, which is the way they were meant to be seen.

Camira sailing adventure to Whitehaven Beach

A day on a big blue catamaran through the Whitsundays to the whitest sand in Australia, with snorkelling included.

Great Barrier Reef cruise from Cairns

Guided snorkelling plus a glass-bottom boat for anyone who'd rather stay dry.

Four nights in Sydney

Long enough to do the icons and then find your own bits of the city.

Two nights in Brisbane

An easy, underrated river city — South Bank, the ferries and the Story Bridge.

Four nights in Cairns

Time for the Daintree, Kuranda, or simply the lagoon and the esplanade.

Three internal flights included

Sydney → Brisbane → Whitsundays → Cairns, all booked and transferred.

34% off the lead-in price

£3,499 against a brochure price of £5,302 on the September 2026 date.

Open-jaw flights

Out to Sydney, home from Cairns — no backtracking.

Before you fly

Don't leave these until the last week

Airport parking, a night at the terminal, lounge access and travel insurance are all cheaper booked early — and on a 15-day trip, the parking alone is a serious line item.

Airport parking

On a four-week trip, airport parking is one of the biggest add-on costs of the whole holiday — and one of the few that gets cheaper the earlier you book.

Airport hotels

Long-haul to Australia usually means an early or awkward departure. A night at the terminal beforehand turns a 3am start into a lie-in.

Check prices & book

Airport lounges

Before a 20-hour flight, three hours of quiet, free food and a proper seat is worth considerably more than it costs.

Travel insurance

Non-negotiable on a trip this long and this far away. Check the medical cover limits and that your full trip length and any activities are included.

Frequently asked questions

When can I travel, and how far ahead should I book?

Departures run from October 2026 through to September 2028. Long-haul escorted tours of this length sell out early — the best-value departure dates and preferred room types typically go 9–12 months ahead, so it pays to secure your place sooner rather than later.

Which UK airport can I fly from?

Return flights are included from your chosen UK airport. Regional departures are available on most dates, sometimes for a small supplement — you'll see the options for your date when you check availability.

Is this a group tour? How big is the group?

Yes — this is a fully escorted small-group tour with a Travelsphere Holiday Director travelling with you throughout. They handle the logistics, the check-ins and the local know-how, so your job is simply to enjoy it. Groups are typically modest in size and overwhelmingly British.

Do I need a visa?

British passport holders need an Australian ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) and an NZeTA for New Zealand where applicable — both are straightforward online applications. Your passport should have at least six months' validity remaining. Always check the latest FCDO and official government guidance before you travel.

How much walking is involved?

A moderate amount. You should be comfortable on your feet for sightseeing, uneven ground at Uluru and Kakadu, and getting on and off coaches and boats. There is plenty of free time built in to rest, and most active elements are optional.

Are single travellers welcome?

Very. Escorted touring is one of the friendliest ways to travel solo, and single rooms are available on request — check current availability and any supplement when you view the departure dates.

Ready to see the dates?

Live availability, departure dates from your local airport and current offers are on the operator's booking page. Deposits are low, the balance isn't due until much later, and every booking is ABTA and ATOL protected.
